# Core Maths student tuition

The AMSP can provide tuition for students in state-funded schools and colleges who would benefit from studying Core Maths, in cases where your school/college is having difficulties staffing or timetabling it. We can also work with you to share the tuition and help you to establish your own provision in future.

You can also use the free resources in the Core Maths Platform to support your own teaching of Core Maths.

The AMSP provides real-time online tutorials to support students. Students log in to the online classroom and communicate with the tutor via live text chat, audio link and a shared electronic whiteboard. The tutor and students can also work together on shared maths-relevant software such as spreadsheets and GeoGebra.

The sessions are designed to build on an online course that we provide. In addition to the online sessions, students will be set work to do before and after online lessons from extensive, purpose-written online resources on the Integral® website.

Group sizes are small, usually between five and ten students per tutor. Tutors are available via email to respond to queries between sessions.

A recording is made of each session so that students can return to and review the material covered at a later date.

The courses will start in early September and are free for state schools and colleges in 2022-23 which is a pilot year.
