The AMSP can provide support for students in state-funded schools and colleges who would benefit from studying AS/A level Further Mathematics in cases where it can’t be offered in your school/college. We offer support for AS or A level maths and can also work with you to share the teaching and help you to establish your own provision in future.

Support for state-funded schools and colleges is provided through our Further Mathematics Online Programme, which includes access to self-teaching resources and weekly tutorials. Your AMSP Area Coordinator can advise you about this, or you can contact the FM Online Programme Coordinator.

There’s also a series of videos to support your own teaching of AS/A level Further Mathematics.

We enable 150 students to study A level Further Mathematics each year through our online programme.  Students who would otherwise have no access to the qualification

The former Further Mathematics Support Programme produced a series of short videos to support the content of AS/A level Further Mathematics. These videos are 5-10 minutes long and break the content into bite-sized pieces. These videos will introduce students to concepts so that they can learn the material for each section by working through appropriate examples.

Individual videos are provided for each of the four main AS/A level specifications (AQA, Edexcel, MEI and OCR). Over 1000 videos have been authored by experienced Further Mathematics teachers.

The AMSP provides online support for students. This support consists of access to a wide range of resources: videos, notes, walkthroughs, interactive books, exercises and tests, together with 30 weekly online tutorials of 60-70 minutes. The tutorials take place in the evenings and consist of students from different schools and colleges across England. Tutors also provide support between sessions and mark periodic topic assessments.

Group sizes are small, usually between one and eight students per tutor. All of our tutors are experienced teachers of Further Mathematics.
