The AMSP can provide tuition for students in state-funded schools and colleges who would benefit from studying AS/A level Further Mathematics, in cases where your school/college is having difficulties staffing or timetabling it. We offer full AS or A level tuition, and can also work with you to share the tuition and help you to establish your own provision in future.

Our tuition support is provided through our Live Online Tuition (LOT) programme. Your AMSP Area Coordinator can advise you about this. Please contact them if you would like to set up tuition.

There’s also a series of videos to support your own teaching of AS/A level Further Mathematics.

We enable 150 students to study A level Further Maths each year through our online tuition programme.  Students who would otherwise have no access to the qualification

The FMSP produced a large series of short videos to support the content of AS/A level Further Mathematics. These videos are all 5-10 minutes in length and break the content into bitesized peieces. They are designed to introduce students to concepts so that they can learn the material for each section by working through appropriate examples.

Individual videos are provided for each of the four main AS/A level specifications (AQA, Edexcel, MEI and OCR). There are over 1000 videos that have been authored recorded by experienced Further Mathematics teachers.

You can apply for individual Integral® accounts for your students that will give them access to the FM videos plus all of the Integral resources for AS/A level Further Mathematics. In addition, you will get access to the management system so you can monitor your students’ progress. The AMSP provides online tutorials to support students. Students log in to the online classroom and communicate with the tutor via chat, audio, and a shared electronic whiteboard. The tutor and students can also work together on shared maths-relevant software such as Desmos. Classes take place in the evenings and consist of students from different schools and colleges across England.

The sessions are designed to build on a series of videos that we provide. These were produced by the Further Mathematics Support Programme (FMSP). In addition to the online sessions, students are set exercises to work on between sessions and receive follow-up support from their tutor. Students also have access to extensive, purpose-written online resources on the Integral® website.

Group sizes are small, usually between one and seven students per tutor. Tutors are all experienced teachers of Further Mathematics and are available via email to respond to queries between sessions.

A recording is made of each session so that students can return to and review the material covered at a later date.
