Maths fun with Year 10 students

ReadHampton Gardens School in Peterborough hosted an enrichment day on 28th March for Year 7s to try a range of STEM activities, ranging from the NRich Roadshow to codebreaking.
ReadWe had 72 students from around the county striving to recall, apply and extend calculus concepts within A level Mathematics. Jenny Forsythe and Val Pritchard had their work cut out finding appropriate tasks and questions that the students had not seen before and producing revision guides for new material.
ReadWeekly STEP-preparation lessons have been taking place with Professor Paul Hammerton at the University of East Anglia, attended by Year 13 students from local schools.
Read2019 will be the fourth year that the University of Nottingham has hosted a Celebrating Women in Maths conference for Year 10 students in the area.
ReadLast term saw another successful round of Maths Feasts in the East Midlands. Similar to our Senior Team Maths Challenge, this event welcomes pupils in teams of four to battle against the clock (and each other) in answering challenging but fun maths problems.
