ReadLast term saw many heats of the Senior Team Maths Challenge (STMC) competitions across the country.
ReadWe all love to see our students experience the joy of solving a mathematical problem and note those fantastic light-bulb moments that mark their steps. In our desire to help students in this journey, the AMSP encourages participation in a wealth of problem-solving activities.
ReadMEI and the AMSP are running two competitions to support Maths Week England, taking place during the week 11th – 16th November. The competitions remain open for entries until 22 November 2019.
ReadThe AMSP works closely with all of the Maths Hubs across the South of England. In particular we support each other at level 3 by the way of Work Groups which are focussed on A level Pedagogy and Core Maths.
ReadWhy do some students find problem solving difficult? The new A level has a focus on problem solving and modelling within the overarching themes.
ReadThe Oxfordshire Mathematics Community is an independent network of enthusiastic mathematics teachers. With support from the Oxford University Department of Education and from the AMSP, we organise lots of events to support teachers across Oxfordshire.
