Our popular Maths Feasts are returning in 2020 for another exciting round of fun educational challenges that provide benefits for both teachers and students.

The AMSP’s Maths Feasts are open to students in Year 10 who are hungry to work on their teamwork and mathematical skills. Almost 100 feasts will be served across England starting in February. On the menu is an all-you-can-eat feast of maths challenges designed to test students’ communication and problem-solving skills.

Students will work in teams of four, and awards will be given to the winners of each round and to groups demonstrating strong teamwork. Each Maths Feast will last around three hours, meaning that time away from school is kept to a minimum.

Taking part in one of our Maths Feasts will motivate students and develop their problem-solving and communication skills. An additional benefit of the competition is a raised profile of the maths department within your school and of your school within the local area.

You are now able to reserve your table at a local Maths Feast on the AMSP website, with events taking place throughout England ensuring plenty of choice. Students with a keen appetite can get practising straight away, with resources and materials from previous feasts freely available on the AMSP website.

All of our Maths Feasts are completely free to enter for state-funded schools and colleges. Schools and colleges located within a Priority Area are eligible to receive a £50 subsidy for attending to cover travel costs.
