On every second Monday since October, Year 12 students have been coming to Kingston University after school for problem-solving sessions. From state schools in six local boroughs, these students work together to develop their skills on topics ranging from solving equations to combinatorics. Many of these students wish to study Mathematics or a maths-rich subject at university and this course is giving them a solid foundation for the STEP/MAT/TMUA entrance exams in Year 13. At the end of the course they will receive a certificate and a book about mathematical problem solving.
