You can now book your space on our Teaching with Desmos online course that begins in November 2022. The course is ideal for teachers who’d like to integrate the use of technology in their GCSE and A level Mathematics lessons, and will look at how the effective use of Desmos can help to deepen students’ understanding of maths.
Teaching with Desmos aims to develop your skills in using the Desmos graphing calculator, and will provide you with effective strategies for using it in your classroom.
Over four bite-sized online sessions, we’ll cover the following topics:
- Introduction to the Desmos graphing calculator
- Developing your graphing calculator skills
- Using Desmos for statistics
- Advanced graphing calculator skills
Absolute beginners are welcome on this course – no prior knowledge or experience of Desmos will be assumed. This course is free to attend. Any teacher working in a school or college in the UK can apply. However, due to the way we’re funded, priority will be given to teachers in state-funded schools and colleges in England. Applications from those teaching GCSE or A level Mathematics in other institutions will be confirmed if there is capacity. This course is only open to teachers working in schools or colleges in the UK.
