The Boulevard Academy in Hull recently hosted the AMSP’s Teaching Maths in Context at GCSE professional development event on Saturday 8 January 2020, with thirteen teachers taking part in the sessions.
The participants explored ways of embedding mathematical problem-solving skills into lessons, and how to engage students by using real-world contexts. They were also shown how taking a Core Maths qualification can benefit students. Teachers from a wide range of subject areas, including PE, Media, Computer Science, Maths and DT, enjoyed this professional development event.
