On Friday 20 March 2020, the AMSP are running a one-day course that will focus on the GCSE topics that are vital for students continuing into Core Maths and AS/A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics study.
It develops strategies and ideas for taking a piece of maths and extending it. The course also explores the sort of connections that deepen understanding, develop fluency, and can be used immediately in the classroom to support all students. There will be opportunities to consider how these concepts and resources could be embedded in professional practice, and how they can contribute towards the ambition and intent of the department’s curriculum.
