All teachers of Core Maths, regardless of level of experience, can now apply for our 2021/22 round of Core Maths Specification Networks. Starting in October, the networks will enable you to access a supportive community of teachers who are following the same specification as you.

Each of our Core Maths Specification Networks will meet online for 90 minutes five times over the 2021/22 academic year, where you’ll discuss your experiences of Core Maths and develop your teaching practice. You’re encouraged to attend as many sessions as you can, although we understand that this may not always be possible. Although the networks are led by experienced AMSP ‘Core Maths champions’, you’re encouraged to be proactive in communicating during the sessions to emulate the experience of a face-to-face chat as closely as possible.

We’re running separate networks for most Core Maths syllabuses, including:

  • AQA 2A: Statistical Techniques
  • AQA 2B: Critical Path and Risk Analysis
  • AQA 2C: Graphical Techniques
  • OCR A and B
  • Edexcel: Mathematics in Context

You’re welcome to attend more than one network.

Our Core Maths Specification Networks are free of charge to all teachers working in state-funded schools and colleges. Please note that the networks are limited in size so places will be issued on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Not for you? If you’re looking to develop your Core Maths subject knowledge, we’d recommend our Live Online Professional Development (LOPD) course, Core Maths common topics, or our On Demand Professional Development (ODPD) course, Core Maths top-ups. Or, if your school or college doesn’t yet offer Core Maths but would like to in the future, our Getting Started with Core Maths Webinar would be ideal.
