The AMSP is working with Maths Hubs across England to coordinate Level 3 Work Groups. These extended programmes of professional development aim to establish and sustain regional communities of teachers.
Work Groups are school and college led, but co-funded, co-promoted and co-recruited by the AMSP and Maths Hubs. Three Work Groups are currently enrolling teachers; these are focused on:
- Supporting Core Maths
- Embedding Technology
- Developing A level Pedagogy
Teachers might find Work Groups particularly useful if they’ve previously attended professional development in these subject areas, but newcomers are also welcome to get involved. The programmes aim to give teachers confidence to influence their department’s approach to these areas in the future.
