Maths Hubs in the West Midlands region are starting their recruitment process for their Post-16 Work Groups for next year. There are five Maths Hubs within the region – Central, Glow, North Mids and Peaks, Origin, and SHaW. You can find your local Maths Hub on the NCETM website.
Next year’s Work Group offer focuses on work in three different areas – New to Teaching Core Maths, Developing Core Maths Pedagogy, and Developing A Level Pedagogy. If you’re interested in joining any of these Work Groups, you can find details on how to book a place or how to express an interest in joining by going to your local Maths Hub’s website and selecting the Work Group you’re interested in.
There are face-to-face, blended, and purely online Work Groups running in the West Midlands region next year. Full details of when and how each Work Group will be delivered can be found on your local Maths Hub’s website. If you can’t join a Work Group in your own local area, you’re of course welcome to join an online Work Group within another Hub area.
The Work Groups on offer in the 2022/23 academic year are:

- SHaW Maths Hub – Developing Core Maths Pedagogy, Developing Pedagogy in A Level
