This term, we’re looking forward to working with both the Great North Maths Hub and the Archimedes NE Maths Hub. In particular, on Wednesday 23 June 2021 we’ll be welcoming colleagues from the Archimedes NE Maths Hub for a session on Enjoyment and engagement in a secondary mathematics classroom (unravelling the mystery of a mastery curriculum).

We’re also hosting a Core Maths professional development event on Monday 21 June 2021 (a familiar and much talked about date!). The event will focus on collaboration with other departments such as (but not exclusively) Psychology, Geography and Biology. The Great North Maths Hub will be offering their Pedagogy in Core Maths Work Group next year, which would be useful if you’re interested in developing Core Maths teaching in your school. Please contact [email protected] for more details.
