We were delighted to recently run our first face-to-face Maths Feast since the beginning of the pandemic at Trafalgar School in Portsmouth. It was fantastic to see so many students engaged with others and so obviously enjoying their maths.

Eleven teams from six schools – Admiral Lord Nelson School, UTC Portsmouth, The Petersfield School, Trafalgar School, St Edmund’s Catholic School, and Bitterne Park School – took part in a very competitive yet hugely enjoyable event. The competition was intense, and I’m delighted that teams from all schools won certificates for winning rounds, high scores, or working particularly well as a team.

Special thanks goes to Alison Terry for organising and delivering the event, and to Claire Parsons at Trafalgar School for hosting – the venue facilities were superb.

We look forward to next year’s Feast with a lot of anticipation!

The AMSP is continuing to work individually with as many schools as possible in Portsmouth and Southampton. We’d be delighted to talk to you about how we can support all schools in the two cities, so please contact me ([email protected]) for further information. If you’re based in the South region but not in Portsmouth or Southampton, please contact your local Area Coordinator.
