On Monday 9 December, 35 teachers joined us at a Barking School for a day focused on the requirements of the large data sets and strategies to ensure that lessons are meaningful to students. The day included a look at how technology (GeoGebra) can be used to support teaching the large data set with an opportunity to practice and play. We also considered the implications of the Ofqual requirements to exam boards for lessons and key themes that would support students in preparing for the exam.

Given the oversubscribed nature of this course, we will be repeating it in Greenwich on Thursday 5 March. Feedback from teachers in Barking included:

  • “[It was] extremely useful to bring the laptop and have a go at the activities.”
  • “A really good and useful course to anyone teaching A Level Maths. Will definitely recommend to others!”
  • “The speakers really know their stuff and are happy to advise you on any other questions you had at lunch etc.”
