Teacher Network meetings have been running in Derby throughout this academic year, hosted at Ockbrook School and Derby Moor Academy. Teachers have enjoyed the opportunity to collaborate with their colleagues in these hands-on professional development sessions, with excellent resources to take away.
Each session has a different theme, with the Easter session looking at helping students with Mathematical Problem Solving at KS4 and KS5. This term the session gave teachers the opportunity to a “taster” of the Raising Confidence Courses (running in Derby in the Autumn). Jan Parry, who has co-written the courses, presented at the meeting and gave us lots of mathematics to try out.
