Our latest On Demand Professional Development (ODPD) course can help you. The Student Engagement collection will assist you in boosting post-16 maths participation.
The course consists of three ‘pods’. The ‘pods’ will cover the following:
Encouraging girls’ participation
Offering Further Mathematics
Higher education and admissions tests
Each pod will consist of various content, including short videos, stimulus materials, and triggers for reflection and suggestions for further study. You will have access to all materials for up to a year, allowing total flexibility to complete at your own pace.
Do you long for your students, especially your female students, to continue with maths beyond GSCE? In the ‘encouraging girls’ participations’ pod, you will explore strategies for encouraging participation in level 3 maths qualifications.
The ‘Offering Further Mathematics’ pod explores the advantages of providing this provision to your A/AS level students. In this pod, you will look at the benefits of offering Further Maths, enabling you to introduce your students to the range of maths-rich or STEM degree courses available while developing their broader maths skills and deep knowledge of the subject. Additionally, it will explain the wide range of funding and support available to you.
Coming soon will be the introduction of the ‘Higher Education and Admissions Tests’ pod, followed by ‘Linking Careers to the Curriculum’ later in the year. More information will be released soon regarding these pods.
