Those who teach one or more high-attaining students may be interested in our Imperial mA*ths: Teacher Support course, which provides participants with ideas to help those students achieve an A* in A level Mathematics. This is one of the AMSP’s On Demand Professional Development (ODPD) courses, which can be accessed anytime, day or night, for a period of up to one year.

Imperial mA*ths: Teacher Support has been designed to complement Imperial College’s mA*ths programme. It offers a range of practical classroom approaches, illustrated using a selection of topics from A level Mathematics, many of which can be adapted for a range of A level topics.

The course is split into two parts and teachers are invited to enrol on either or both parts. The first part focuses on AS Mathematics and the second on A level Mathematics. Topics are selected from across the pure, statistics and mechanics content.

Imperial mA*ths: Teacher Support participants will have access to thought-provoking videos discussing approaches and ideas and will be asked to engage with the online forum, interacting and collaborating with other teachers and the course tutors. You can find out more and apply for this course on the AMSP website.

Due to the way we are funded, our ODPD courses are only available to teachers working in state-funded schools and colleges in England. Our ODPD courses are free of charge for qualifying teachers.
