Supporting KS4 students and their teachers is fundamental to the aims of the AMSP.

As well as large events based at colleges and universities, we can also come into 11-16 schools to run bespoke enrichment. This could be A level taster sessions, the Core Maths Roadshow, mini competitions, problem-solving activities, ‘Why do Maths?’ talks, or maybe just pure maths enrichment!

Teachers wanting expand their offering of 11-16 maths can sign up to our new Raising Confidence professional development days. Again, if you have something that you feel that would be useful to a number of your teachers please get in contact and we’ll see what we can do.

Our Higher GCSE Network meetings have been very popular and well received. An opportunity to meet and discuss a number of aspects of the Higher GCSE, these are held this year at a number of venues around the North-West, and more details can be found in the event listing (linked to below).

Last but not least, we are in the process of sending out information about out very popular Maths Feasts aimed at teams of year 10 students. These are designed to be supportive and positive events that promote important problem-solving skills, vital to GCSE study. Make sure that you’ve registered to receive information so you don’t miss out!

The AMSP website has more information about resources and support for teachers, and information about a wide array of student and teacher events.
