An enrichment day for girls, Maths Without Limits, took place at Xaverian College in Manchester on Thursday 11 July. Students were given the opportunity to ‘speed network’ with female STEM role models, where they learnt more about the pathways opened up by studying maths post-GCSE.
Students also took part in a workshop and a maths competition, with the keynote talk – ‘To Infinity and Beyond!’ – given by Dr Katie Chicot of the Open University. Due to the high level of interest in the event, Maths Without Limits 2 will run in Autumn 2019.
