Summary

We are running an online course to prepare students for the TMUA (Test of Mathematics for University Admission), the mathematical admissions test used by the University of Cambridge for undergraduate admissions in Computer Science and Economics and by Imperial College for undergraduate admissions in the Department of Computing (including joint Mathematics and Computer Science) as well as for their BSc in Economics, Finance and Data Science. Other Universities may give a reduced offer to students who have achieved a good score in the TMUA. The University of Warwick include the TMUA in some of their offers.

The TMUA examination consists of two parts, Applications of Mathematical Knowledge and Mathematical Reasoning. Each part consists of 20 multiple choice questions.

This course will consist of seven one-hour online sessions. Students are also welcome to enrol on our similar course for the MAT (Mathematics Admissions Test), but there is no obligation to attend both courses.

The online course for the TMUA will run in September and October (for students sitting the TMUA in Autumn 2024), a second course will run in November and December (for students sitting the TMUA in Spring 2025), with exact dates to be confirmed nearer the time.
