NW Online GCSE Summer Series - Transition to A Level...One giant leap?

The NW GCSE Summer Series consists of four 1.5 hour ONLINE professional development sessions on GCSE Maths.

This session will focus on preparing students for study beyond GCSE.

  • To develop our teaching to help students prepare for A Level maths
  • Look at a wide range of transition resources and consider how to use them with students

Who will benefit from attending?

Teachers of Higher Tier GCSE Mathematics.

One small step or one giant leap?  This session aims to help you to make the transition to A Level more manageable for your students!

The current A Level Mathematics specification demands a high level of understanding from students, and many students struggle with transition.
This session will look at ways that we can support students with their understanding of GCSE maths and ensure that they are ready for the next step.

We will look at various strategies, specific examples and a range of resources to support these aims.
