GCSE Probability and Data Handling
LondonOverview
Join Naz and Angus for this opportunity to explore teaching probability and data handling for the GCSE Maths course.
We will consider teaching probability through the use of investigation, heavily influenced by the works of Gage and Speigelhalter.
We will consider how technology can assist in the teaching of data handling: both in demonstrating key concepts of the course, and allowing students to investigate the logical links between those concepts.
You will have the opportunity to create your own resources based on what is provided.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Aims
- Look at investigative ways of teaching probability
- Provide the opportunity to create your own resources/lesson plans
- Widen your knowledge of how technology can enhance the teaching of data handling
