Bristol & Bath, Gloucestershire and North Wilts Online Network

Raising Participation in Maths after GCSE

Bristol & Bath, Gloucestershire and North Wiltshire Online Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet on a termly basis, to collaborate and to share professional development. We meet regularly and the programme is a mixture of interactive discussion and speaker-led training events.

This session will provide an opportunity to discuss how, as maths teachers, we can promote maths beyond GCSE. We will also explore some of the AMSP resources available that may be beneficial for events such as sixth form open evenings, as well as longer term materials that may further enrich the mathematical diet of KS3 and KS4 students.

Materials and Equipment

The meeting is scheduled for 1.5 hours, however, the last 30 minutes has been set aside for those who wish to continue the conversation beyond the hour.

The meeting will be held in Zoom.  We will be emailing you with a link to the Zoom meeting in the week prior to the meeting and will send out a reminder on the day of the meeting.
