Leicestershire Network -Building resilience

Building Resilience in all your students

We will begin with time to share and remember when this was all done with lovely Danish pastries and coffee..we will move on to join Adrian Hall who will be talking about resilience in your classroom.

This session will be lead by Adrian Hall, who works for the AMSP in the North West, and will look at which pedagogical approaches help to build resilience and independence when tackling mathematical problems. We will also look at what language and behaviours help pupils to achieve this.

  • Understand why some pupils give up when tackling maths problems
  • Explore which pedagogical approaches help build resilience in learners
