Lessons from ShanghaiOnline
The Kent and Medway Maths Conference is an annual event where the AMSP and the Kent and Medway Maths Hub come together to provide outstanding professional development opportunities for teachers of maths in Kent and Medway. The conference is taking place online this year and is running as a series of twilight workshops. This event is one of those workshops.
I visited Shanghai as part of the England-China Mathematics Teacher Exchange Programme in November 2019, seeing a mastery approach to teaching Mathematics in action. This workshop will give an overview of what I saw in Mathematics classrooms.

She is also the regional secondary lead for the West Kent mini-hub and is a member of Cohort 3 of the Secondary Mastery Specialist Programme.

This workshop is aimed at teachers of KS3 mathematics but would be relevant to those teaching at KS2 and KS4
