Through a series of hands-on workshops, the employers will demonstrate the value of continuing to study maths post-16 for a variety of career options. This day is aimed at Key Stage 4 students who might need encouraging to consider Mathematics as an option for Level 3 study but, who through seeing the relevance of maths in the workplace, may discover it as the key to their next steps.
Students will have the opportunity to partake in 4 different employer-led workshops and identify how maths is helpful for each of the different careers. This gives students the opportunity to improve their mathematical communication skills and make new friends. The aim is to make the longest dragon.
