Core Maths Pre-Release WebinarsOnline
Each Core Maths qualification features pre-release material which is available approximately 1-2 months prior to the first exam in May (this varies depending on the awarding organisation). Approximately one week after the pre-release material is available we will run webinars for teachers to discuss the content, develop questions and share approaches to getting the most out of the material.
Booking for our pre-release webinars will open in January.
Who will benefit from attending?
All current or prospective teachers of a Core Maths qualification will find these webinars useful. If you're not using a pre-release document this year but think you might in the future (or are just curious) please do feel free to attend.
Materials and Equipment
If possible it would be easier for you if you could secure a microphone for the webinar. If this is not possible to do, you will be able to communicate by using the chat box.
Teachers who sign up will be emailed in the days prior to the webinar and again on the day of the webinar with a link to the online meeting room.
In our second (Xmas!) webinar of the year we will be focussing on what it means to you to teach 'in a Core Maths way'. Does the way you teach Core Maths differ significantly from how you approach teaching other maths courses and, if so, how? How do you go about achieving this, how do your students respond and how do you track their progress? What does a Xmas Core Maths activity look like?
There will be plenty of time to discuss other matters during the webinar - if you have any suggestions of items you would like to include in the agenda please suggest it in the space provided in the Google Form that is linked from this page.
Please bring a mince pie, party hat, microphone (if possible) and ideas/opinions.
