North Kent KS5 Network

Supporting Transition from GCSE to A level Maths

Overview

The North Kent Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project providing a forum for teachers of maths in North Kent schools to meet, collaborate and engage in professional development relevant to their own particular needs and challenges.

It is a face-to-face teacher network which meets 3 times a year at Gravesend Grammar School, Church Walk, Gravesend DA12 2PR from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Meetings are a mixture of informal sessions and speaker-led training events.

All teachers, and prospective teachers, of level 3 mathematics are welcome to attend.

Content

The 6 Concepts project is designed to support transition from GCSE to A level in schools and colleges by encouraging them to consider how they approach key GCSE topics. One of the intended outcomes of the project is to reduce the dropout rate from A level maths.

This workshop is suitable for teachers at all schools which offer A level maths.

Please note the revised venue for this event.
