Coffee and Pi (Oxfordshire Teacher Network)

Managing the Transition from year 12 to year 13

Coffee and Pi is a network meeting for teachers in Oxfordshire secondary schools as part of the Oxfordshire Mathematics Community. A post-16 group, funded by AMSP, meets half-termly, allowing teachers of Core Maths and of A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. The programme is planned in response to teacher requests and is a mixture of presentations and discussions. Additionally, an 11-16 group meets half-termly.

A level Mathematics and Further Mathematics Group

With the detachment and demise of AS exams, how do you ensure that your students have fully mastered the skills they need to proceed to the full A level?

We will consider a range of strategies and resources. Please bring your own ideas too.
