London North Teacher Network

Resource sharing and Differential Equations

London North Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of A level Mathematics to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. We meet termly. The sessions are split between trainer-led workshops (on a topic determined by staff preferences at previous meetings), teacher led presentations and a 'feedforward' discussion which informs planning for the impending term/year.

  • a presentation by all attending teachers of one learning resources/teaching tool that they value.
  • a workshop on how to contextualise differential equations at Single Maths (and beyond.)
  • a chance to plan events and training for next year

This network meeting will have differential equations as its mathematical focus - in the Single Maths syllabus, in the Further Maths syllabus and in context.

The meeting will also give substantial time for all teachers to bring and present one resource or activity that they particularly value - a sharing of best practice.
