Overview

During the course you will be exploring some key topics from A Level Mathematics, using a range of different approaches including practical activities. The activities from the day can all be used with your own students and will be available to download. 

Timetable for the day:

09:30     Registration and refreshments

10:00     Introduction and Kinematics

11:05     Refreshments

11:25     Forces and Newton’s Laws

12:30     Moving into 2 dimensions

1:00       Lunch (sandwiches will be provided)

1:45       Practical Mechanics

3.15       Modelling

3:30       Plenary

3.45       Evaluation and End.

This course is aimed at teachers who have never taught Mechanics before, or who would like to refresh their subject knowledge.
