Celebrating Women in Mathematics

Nottingham

Overview

The University of Nottingham welcomes all Year 10 pupils to an engaging day of mathematics to promote the female mathematician. This will involve three interactive workshops given by female presenters and also a special enrichment talk given by our guest speaker.

This event is suited to any bright young mathematicians at KS4 (female or male!) and we invite all schools to bring a maximum of fifteen students to be accompanied by a teacher.

Aims

  • To promote the female role in mathematics
  • To inspire (all) students to study mathematics further
  • To showcase practical areas of mathematics and the careers they can lead to.
