Overview

The Mathematics at University sessions will involve a gentle introduction to key topics you will study at University, plus hands-on activities and group discussion. Topics from previous Enrichment days include: Logic, Calculus, Analysis, Algebra, Probability and Statistics.

The hands-on coding session will introduce students to the use of computers in solving Mathematical problems that may otherwise be intractable. No coding experience necessary!

 

Who will benefit from attending?

The afternoon will benefit Year 12 students studying Mathematics at A level who are interested in continuing their studies in a STEM subject at University level.

This event is free to all year 12 students in the Hull and East Riding area and is funded and hosted by The University of Hull, promoted by the AMSP and presented by University of Hull Mathematics lecturers, Dr Siri Chongchitnan, Dr Richard Danyi and Dr Chunhua Yang.
