Celebrating Women In Maths

Overview

Organised by the AMSP and the University of Wolverhampton, this day is aimed primarily at girls (but boys are welcome too) in years 10 and 11 who are potential Core Maths or A level Maths students but who may not be considering studying Maths because of a lack of interest or confidence.  

The day will include a set of short talks from women in industry and three workshops sessions.

 

Who will benefit from attending?

Any student who is interested in maths and science and its place in the world.

Content

Workshops likely to include Fake News, Estimation and Practical Mechanics.

Other Information

  • Initially we are limiting places to 15 students per school
  • Students will need to bring a packed lunch
  • Lunch will be provided for staff
