Who will benefit from attending?
This event is ideal for students who are thinking of applying to study mathematics, engineering or related University courses for which a very high proficiency in mathematical problem solving is required (for example, those Universities who require STEP, MAT or TMUA for entry).
Teachers who wish to find out about the various university admissions tests and sources of support for their students will also benefit from attending.
The conference consists of a number of workshops. These will include an opportunity to solve a variety of problems from a variety of competitions and admissions tests. There will also be workshops that give information about what universities are expecting from students who apply for a maths or related undergraduate degree as well as those that are designed to help students develop their problem solving skills.
Teachers will work with their students in some of the sessions as well as attending a workshop that provides information about university admissions tests.
This event is free for students and teachers from state-funded schools, colleges and academies.
