Senior Team Maths Challenge
The Senior Team Maths Challenge (STMC) provides enrichment and challenge to teams of senior students in the UK. The competition tests students in Years 11, 12 and 13 on their mathematical, communication and teamwork skills, with teams of four competing over several rounds to reach the final.
Heats will be held in schools and universities in November and early December. Dates are set by local organisers, and the grand final is held in London in February.

Who will benefit from attending?
Students in Years 11-13.
No knowledge beyond GCSE Mathematics is required for the heats, and there will be a focus on developing problem-solving skills.

Materials and Equipment
Teams may bring paper dictionaries to help with translations but no other equipment is needed or allowed.
The STMC is organised by the AMSP in partnership with UK Mathematics Trust.

Please note the stated time is the start time of the competition; teams will be sent details of preferred arrival times nearer to the event.
We hope to shortly be able to add additional events in Birmingham, Liverpool and South West London.
Students from Year 11, Year 12 or Year 13 are eligible to enter as part of a team of four. Each team should have no more than two Year 13 students. There is a maximum of one team per school or college, and the team must be accompanied by a teacher.
