Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Online Network

Overview

The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Online Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project allowing teachers of maths to meet, to collaborate and to share professional development. We meet regularly and the programme is a mixture of interactive discussion and speaker-led training events.

This session will be delivered by Alexandra Hewitt, MEI Advanced Maths Support and Development Coordinator. Alexandra will share ideas and discuss ways you can support your students in-school with preparing for University Admissions Tests. 

Aims

• To consider ways you can support students in-school with University Admissions Tests.
• To consider how you might use UAT resources to support your students.

Who will benefit from attending?

This session will be useful for any maths teacher who is supporting students through the TMUA, MAT and/or STEP papers.

Other Information

The meeting will be on the Zoom platform. 

The link to the meeting will be emailed in the week before the meeting.

You are advised to use a headset or headphones with an inline microphone to provide the best sound quality and to prevent audio issues for other users. A laptop with a built-in webcam and microphone may be sufficient if you’re in a quiet area but please take the time to check this before the session.

In order to fully participate in the meeting please be willing to use your camera and microphone, although the chat option will be available.

As part of our safeguarding procedures please note the following:

(i) Your name will be visible to other participants during the event.
(ii) It is important that you log in with the names you used when you registered for the meeting otherwise you may not be allowed into the room. If you prefer to use a shortened/alternative name, then do let us know via email in advance of the session.
(iii) You must not pass on any of the registration or Zoom meeting details to anyone else.

Eligibility

This meeting is primarily for teachers from Oxfordshire or Buckinghamshire, but other teachers are welcome if there is space.
