Edgbarrow School Teacher Network
Maths, tea and biscuitsOverview
Edgbarrow Teacher Network is an AMSP-funded project, allowing teachers of Mathematics in the Crowthorne, Bracknell and Wokingham area of Berkshire to meet, collaborate and to share best practice. We meet termly and the programme is planned by teacher request and will include informal sessions and training events.
Content
This is an informal network meeting to discuss the following:
- Experiences of students in this summers exam - what is the same/different between exam boards?
- In retrospect and in terms of the recent exams was the advanced exam information useful ?
- If advanced information is given next year would you change how you used it ?
- What has been easy/difficult this year preparing students for exams
- In light of your experiences this year how will that change or not change your exam preparations for future years?
It would be useful if you could bring along a copy of the A level Maths/Further Maths papers that your students sat this year to make comparisons between boards
There will be an opportunity for those attending to raise other issues for discussion.
This is a chance to meet other local teachers and to make contacts and find out how other schools are working in the current climate.
Refreshments will be provided.
