FAQs

I have some students with very specific needs, will it work for them to attend?

We aim to be able to accommodate all students. This is not always possible but if there is anything we can do to facilitate specific needs, we will try our best. Please get in touch with the event organiser, Fiona Kitchen, at [email protected] who has experience of accommodating special requirements and needs at events, and can arrange to speak with you in more detail.

Will lunch be provided?

Lunch will be provided for any teachers who attend the event, students will be asked to bring a sandwich (or similar) and we will provide them with some additional snacks to supplement their lunch e.g. a snack bar and crisps (or similar).

I'd like to bring a student group but it will be too difficult to be able to get cover for the day, what can I do?

The student(s) can attend the event without a supervising teacher. Teachers will need to apply on behalf of one or more of their students and remain the main contact for the application throughout.

Is this event only for students who are planning on studying a maths degree at university?

No this event is for any student who is planning on studying a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Maths (STEM) and will have content for any student who enjoys maths or who is looking to improve their grade and experience some maths that will support their A level(s), and future study.
