On 18 June, New College Doncaster hosted their second student/teacher problem solving conference. The pupils had a fantastic day, starting with James Cranch looking at Fractions and Solving Quadratics. Whilst this was going on, the teachers found out about all of the maths entrance exams available (and some non maths).
The afternoon was a carousel of problem solving workshops led by the AMSP, from factor and roots to working in groups. The feedback was excellent and hopefully the pupils took some techniques and ideas off with them. With the evident challenge of A level, successful problem solving is vital!
