Alison Terry, assists Area Coordinators in the South
Although the Core Maths Support Programme came to an end in 2017, we are delighted that its good work was superseded by the new Advanced Mathematics Support Programme (AMSP) contract, enabling us to offer plenty of support for current and new Core Maths teachers. In the South, we have a wide range of events upcoming, including:
- our Keeping the Context Alive conference in Southampton on 28 January. We’ll be joined by Bobby Seagull (as seen on University Challenge and various other TV shows), who will come along to give his take on how and why to teach Core Maths
- in Crawley on 13 March, we have the AMSP’s Tom Rainbow coming along to talk to teachers about ideas and resources for Core Maths, as well as spending time looking at the new 2019 awarding body pre-release materials
