University Admission Tests sound daunting don’t they! Many of us would have never looked at them or considered how they could be used with our students in KS3 and 4. However, there are many subjects, other than maths, which have maths questions as part of their UATs. Here are some examples from Economics tests:

These questions are accessible to many students in KS3 and 4, and by achieving success in these questions, they may gain confidence, believing that they will be able to go on and be successful in university tests when the time comes!

In addition, these and other similar questions will provide opportunities to improve problem solving skills. If this is something you would like support with, please contact your local AC who can offer bespoke CPD covering problem solving and/or UATs as well as problem solving classroom sessions for students from KS3 to KS5.
