The AMSP has two large scale student enrichment events coming up in June in Somerset and Devon, both of which we are very excited about!
Year 12 Problem Solving Day @ Bridgwater & Taunton College (Taunton Campus) on Tuesday 18 June
This event is a one-day conference for Year 12 students and their teachers, developing deeper mathematical problem-solving skills. It will be of particular interest to students who have been (or are likely to be) invited to a selection interview at university, and who will be taking Mathematics entrance examinations in 2019 or 2020. We also welcome students who just want to develop their problem-solving skills when working on AS/A level Mathematics or Further Mathematics questions. Accompanying teachers will be expected to get their hands dirty as well!
Year 10 Maths Is Your Future Day @ Exeter University on Thursday 20 June
This is an enrichment day aimed at Year 10 students who should consider studying a level 3 Mathematics qualification. This event will be suitable for any student who is likely to achieve a pass at GCSE. There will be interactive workshops covering a range of mathematical topics aimed to inspire students to select the most appropriate Level 3 Maths course for them. This event is fully booked.
