The following video and activity can both be used by students at home:

Maths and Movies: A documentary looking at the maths used in smoothing 3D pictures at Pixar

This video deals primarily with using trigonometry within animation for Pixar movies, and is therefore suitable for GCSE and A level Mathematics students. It is a good watch for students who are planning to study computer graphics as part of their university courses.

Practical Fractal Activity: Instructions and templates for making a beautiful Fractal Card (this activity requires a printer, scissors and paper)

This cutting activity can be done by students of all ages, from KS3 up to KS5, to produce a beautiful piece of mathematical art. The maths involved, however, comes from Complex Numbers within Further Mathematics courses at A level (or university).
