The AMSP’s online course, STEP Online, to prepare students for the STEP (Sixth Term Examination Paper) is now open for applications. The STEP is an admissions test used primarily by the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick.
STEP Online is designed for students who will be sitting one or more of the STEP papers in the summer of 2021. Our aim is that the course will introduce students to mathematical problems at the difficulty level of the STEP, and provide support with preparation for the exam.
The course will be delivered over ten hour-long online sessions, taking place from February to June 2021. Exact dates will be confirmed nearer the time as, once we receive bookings for the course, we will organise sessions at the most convenient time for participating students. Session titles include:
- Dividing by zero
- Curve sketching
- and Applied Mathematics (Mechanics and Statistics).
In the sessions, key points and examples from past papers will be discussed, and extra notes, exercise sheets, and solutions will be shared with participants.
