My son recently asked me to help him with his AQA Level 2 Further Maths revision so I tried to come up with a question that would hit as much of the co-ordinate geometry that was required as possible… I think I did a good job:

3 lines A,B & C all intesect at pt P which lies on the circumference of a circle centred at (2,2). Line A has a gradient of 2. Given that A is perpendicular to B and that C is tangent to the circle, using the other information on the diagram (not necessarily drawn to scale or accurate) work out theta, the angle between lines B & C.

Why not give it a go and see what skills, knowledge and understanding is required to complete it?
