Build confidence in teaching A level Mathematics with our course, designed to strengthen both subject knowledge and classroom practice.
Our Subject Knowledge Live | A Mathematics: Pure Year 2 course is designed for teachers who are new to teaching the Year 2 pure content, as well as those looking to refresh and deepen their understanding. Across a series of interactive sessions, you will explore key topics including algebra, functions, sequences and series, trigonometry and calculus, with content drawn from all major A level Mathematics specifications.
Sessions will model effective approaches to teaching subject knowledge, including the use of technology, while creating opportunities to discuss ideas with tutors and other teachers in a small-group setting. You will leave with greater confidence in mathematics, a stronger understanding of common teaching approaches, and practical ideas to support your classroom practice.

Share Ideas With Other Teachers
Discuss content, resources and classroom approaches with tutors and fellow participants in a supportive small-group environment.
I have understood topics I was struggling with in greater detail. The pace of working was perfect as it allowed to work through the question myself before working together. It also gave me a lot of resources to consider and use in my own teaching.
Sessions have been detailed with good examples modelled by the session leads. It helped me to feel reassured on how much I do recall.
There was a wide range of content covered and I enjoyed seeing how the maths specialists presented each topic. I’ll be revisiting sessions before I teach each topic to support my own explanations.
