What you will learn

Develop your teaching of Higher GCSE Mathematics by strengthening subject knowledge, reasoning and classroom practice.

Deepen Your Understanding

Explore key Higher GCSE content in greater depth, making connections across topics and strengthening understanding of the mathematics that underpins them.

Support Reasoning And Problem Solving

Develop approaches that help students explain their thinking, justify methods and engage more confidently with problem-solving in Higher GCSE Mathematics.

Strengthen Classroom Practice

Reflect on effective teaching approaches, explore useful resources and consider how technology can support learning and progression in Higher GCSE Mathematics.

During the sessions, high-level thinking activities were shown that encouraged us to think deeply about core algebraic ideas. There was a strong focus on how to ask effective questions and how students may think about algebra, including common misconceptions.

The explanations were clear and well structured, making the mathematics accessible and easy to follow. The strategies shared were practical and directly relevant to teaching.

I now feel better equipped to help students develop deeper mathematical reasoning, and a stronger understanding of logical argument.
